Peltor ComTac's and LWH's?
Would a Peltor ComTac II (Replica of course) fit under an LWH? I know it fits under a MICH, so how well would it fit under an LWH?

I would highly recommend not buying the replica's, they are SO uncomfortable and HOT, freakin HOT
I had a pair of real steel comtac II's, still would rather have MSA Sordin's, much less expensive too... |

I've got knock-off Comtacs, too. They look cool, and nice when the weather cools off. Also good for keeping bugs and BBs out of my ears. But yeah, when the weather is warm.... yuck. Also, they're rather fragile, internally. Be veeeery careful about tugging too hard on the line that runs between the left ear and the PTT.

Cool, thanks for the tips.
But how well do you think they would fit under an LWH? These are the 2 headsets I had in mind: Sordin: http://rsov.com/index.php?target=pro...oduct_id=12331 And ComTac: http://rsov.com/index.php?target=pro...roduct_id=3245

Assuming the LWH is lined with pads, rather than a suspension system, you should be able to arrange them to fit. That said, the Peltor's headband looks awfully bulky with the wraparound padding, and would likely be uncomfortable without it. The Comtac has a much slimmer headband.

Thanks! Is there a specific replica you would suggest?

peltor is the company that makes the comtac lol
And it has close to zero padding on the headband, really sucks if your wearing it for more than 2 hours |

So basically... I can't get a set of ComTac's because I definitely don't have the funds and there aren't any replica's you would suggest....
Great. This helped.

Sorry, I guess I just overreacted.
The main response I as hoping to hear was if it could fit under the sides of the helmet.

I have a chinese MICH replica, size med-large
And that's chinese med-large, so like american large. I don't know why, apparently the bulk of chinese airsofters have huge heads.... Anyway, even after adjusting the padding it was not comfortable. Just wearing them daily without a helmet sucked. They really need to put the gel pads in them instead of foam. |

Huh. What about an Element Bowman headset? I've seen them being used in Iraq by Marine infantry and for the sake of a MARSOC kit I don't really care. As long as they fit and are comfortable.

That should be just fine; I have one as well but haven't used it much as I don't have my own PTT for it (yet; one's on the way from eHobby Asia).
EDIT: I should mention that one of the guys in our group uses one, and he swears by it (It's made by Cavalvy, available from eHobby Asia, among others). Hes even trying to figure out a way to fit it inside his skidoo helmet.
