Frustrated: Pantac Single Point Sling

Thats the one that I have.

How in the shit does this thing work? I dont get it at all. Theres some kind of sewn handle you can pull but i dont understand what the purpose is. Im a left handed shooter and im wondering if this is affecting it.

Does anyone know how this thing does up or how its supposed to sit?

It's a loop. You sling the loop over your shoulder and clip the other end to your gun.

edit: put the pad on your shoulder to ease the stress points. the other end of the loop should be under your opposite arm pit.

Please see the additional pictures from this website. It should help you figure how to set up your new sling.

http://www.rhinoairsoft.com/details....47-OD-A&cat=39

As you can see the fat padded part should rest on your non shouldering shoulder.
The attachment buckle to your AEG should rest in front of your chest.
While the adjustment buckle for tightness of the sling should rest underneath your shooting arm against the body.

Single point sling. Stick one arm/shoulder/head/neck through big loop in sling. Sling should now be diagonal across your chest & back, running from one of your shoulders to under the opposite armpit. Tighten sling with tab - it doesn't serve any other purpose. Clip sling hook onto sling mount on your gun. Done.

You can wear it on your right or left shoulder... I actually wear mine on my right shoulder, and I'm a right handed shooter - I usually see righties wearing one points on the left shoulder as this would allow the weapon to be moved to be back at the right hip, but since I like to run holsters on my belt rig, that set-up just gets in the way of drawing my secondary (which is usually why I'm moving my weapon/sling around in the first place).

Hint - the tighter you can get the sling around your body, the less it'll move around and wobble. If it's too tight, you won't be able to shoulder your weapon properly.

Aw nice, ok those pics are gonna help.

Whats not working is that pull tab you see in the pics, its like it serves no purpose it doesn't tighten or losen anything, it just kind of moves up and down.

Thanks a ton tho everyone

First sling, probably not the best for a noob

1) Toss Pantac sling in garbage
2) Buy a Blue Force Gear sling
3) Be happy the rest of your life

Single point

Should be worn so the primary weapon drops to the weak side away from the secondary .. for most people this means putting your left side through it so the sling rests on the right shoulder and the weapon when slung hangs to the left side.

oh yeah.. what Farmboy said

yeah the quick adjust strap must be UNDER the weapon attachment strap. It will hold the strap anywhere across your chest to direct where your weapon falls.

You may be weaing the sling backwards... I have the troy version and love it. But the pad is only comfortable in one direction against the neck. When its over the left shoulder... So if you have it slung over the right shoulder then flip your neck pad instead of the entire sling and the quick adjust will work.

For me I run it over my off shoulder, the left... If the quick adjust strap is pulled up to it my weapon will drop to my left side. If it is pulled down towards under my right arm, the weapon falls to my right.
