A P90 is a good option for small framed people, I tried the CTAR21 today and found it a little awkward as well. Now I'm a big guy at 6ft and found the grip to be a bit too far forward for me to use in CQB, I really have to arch my shoulders forward to get a good handle and to counter the heavier weight in the rear where all the guts are.
Now by comparison to a P90, I can put my face right up against the iron sights no problem considering its about 1/4 of the way behind the barrel. Its surprisingly ergonomical except for swapping out mags because of it's unconventional design. Not to say you can't speed reload a P90, it just requires a much different set of muscle memory movement.

Doesn't the P90 feel a bit short for you in long range fire fights? I've watched a lot of p90 vids on youtube and thats just the way it looks...

im just gunna leave this here
as a note. this gun was bought in a physical store NOT online. it is 100% canadian legal and is ALL black. there are no clear anything on this gun, unless you count the red dot. as explained to me the importation issue has NOTHING TO DO WITH BODY COLOUR. its about fps limits, ironically what makes these guns canadian leagal it that the fps had to be increased to allow importation. this store sells largely to law enforcment, with LEO in there quite often, so i know this is legal. last i heard there was someone in southern Ontario trying to get a deal going to import ares guns but, ill let sam explain that. good luck and get AV'ed the is very back heavy tho, but feels solid. |

This gun isn't big at all, and I'm 5'3-5'4. I've held it before. The back is heavier than the front, just like the real steel.

hte p90's barrel is not much shorter then the m4's.
i've handled them many times, and have always loved it. i'm 5'10. if you think its too small you can always add a silencer with a longer inner barrel, but i think it defeats the purpose. |

Why's that? Seems like a silly thing to get upset over. So someone plays a military-themed shooter, and realizes they are interested in military themed things, so they go out and start playing a military themed sport. God forbid.

The reason is that because most of the people who play MW2 then jump on board for airsoft have the wrong attitude about things as we have seen time and time again. Its always hilarious seeing the moment when people realize vidya games and real life application have next to nothing to do with each other.

It's so funny to hear how kids these days play a video game, then want to become like their hero and pretend they are with airsoft.

I use my P90 primarily in CQB fights but the inner barrel is the same length as an M4 or G36C. You can easily swap it out for a precision inner barrel for added accuracy and distance. Or as mentioned, get a longer inner barrel and cover the rest with a silencer or a longer outer barrel making it a PS90 (civilian P90).

On topic, My wife actually was eyeballing the TAR-21 at one point, I can imagine it would be more comfortable for people with smaller frames. Last edited by Rugger_can; May 23rd, 2010 at 01:11.. |

I use various camo's and webbing sets tailored to whatever terrian I may be fighting in, wether hot or cold, wet or dry, desert, wooded or urban I'm appropriately geared for the battle and "combat effective" (you should read up on what that means) guy's who show up wearing a skull balaclava, jeans, and a grey softshell that's supposed to be worn in COLD WEATHER (not to mention you stand out pretty well in the woods) and hefting an mp5k at a game in a hot wooded area in the middle of May are clearly retarded and have no idea how to prepare, and in prettymuch every case, act in combat... you show up wearing gear like that, that's clearly not meant for that arena, pouch for pouch a replica of a dude from a video game, weilding a weapon that clearly won't do the job, Imma treat you just like the moron who show's up wearing a Clone trooper costume airsoft is simulating combat, not video games, I believe you have this sport confused with cosplay |
