TM Kimber 1911 Project....
So here goes...
      TM 1911 based, Nova Kimber Swat Custom II kit, Nova controls, ProG4 Hammer and Trigger, painted stock grip. This is going to be something else later, ordering a CDPII top half from ProG4 through ILLusion....at which point I'll put up the slide and barrel for sale....I'll be buying custom grip then.... |

Wow, I like it! Really nice and clean. But also can't wait to see what it looks like after the CDPII is on...

*edit this is based on a tm 1911 NOT a MEU.....reason you chose not to use the MEU as the base?

I know it for 100% of what it is to work on. I've heard conflicting story about what the same and different to a MEU, so I figure I am going to replace most of the parts that what do I start with doesn't matter....

man, that's exactally what I want my 1911 to look like except for the grips... those will have to make way for the one's I'm going to make. which brand of extras (mag release, hammer, etc...) are those? Nova?

All controls are Nova except the slide release(which I forgot at home, so its borrowing the polished slide release from my SV). Trigger(and trigger loop) is ProG4 and so is the hammer.

How is the ambi nova safety? is it pretty solid?

This Kimber style works well on 1911(not so much on Hi-Capa), and that the left side can be used to engage and disengage. The SVI style that I run on the Hi-Capa don't work as well as you can engage the safety from the left but there is too much play to disengage it...

New Kimber grip panels....Carbon Fibre SIS style....being a race car guy I love CF when I can get it....
 I think this should look interesting with the CDPII set...looks pretty good with the SWAT slide....
