JG HK416 Front wire?
Hey guys and gals of ASC. I have a JG 416, and wish to front wire her. Now, the problem i have hit is that the wires dont want fit in between the barrel nut, and the barrel itself. I know I am going to have to get the front wire switch set, but Im a little stuck. I did look it up on google before the thread and everything was useless. Is there some kind of modification I have to do to the wires or something? What am I missing?
Thanks! Caboose |

V2 front wired gearboxs are wired through the gearbox themselves. Are you trying to lead it out to a PEQ? I would crack open the gearbox, rewire it to the front, and feed it out the RIS.
I'm not ceratin on how the whole outer barrel assembly works on the 416, is there room near the front of the receiver to feed the wires through? |

Yes, there is some room to feed the wires through, but I just looked it over, and I remembered what was going wrong. It was a while back when I wanted to do this, so I couldnt remember everything. But what the major problem is, is that I cant get the connector through the barrel nut and the barrel. So do I have to take the connector off of the end of the wire, and the feed it through, or do I need to do some cutting, and soldering?
Thanks guys! Caboose |
