M14 feeds first BB, nothing more.
Hey folks.
Let me run through the problem here. UTG M14. plastic Mags, an old battery. So... The gun feeds and fires the first BB when a FULL mag is loaded, nothing more FIRES though the gun makes all the normal noises, as though it were firing. The gun will fire every round if i hold it upside down and load one at a time. When I unload the mag, 5-6 BB's fall out, loose, as normal. The gun fires only on auto, regardless of it's selector position, but that's a separate issue. I've been meaning to do that mod where you remove that white brace to make it semi-only... but then this came up. Is there any way to, perhaps, tighten a mag spring, to force the BB's up quicker? ![]()

For your full auto business you need a new Cutoff lever
![]() Have u tried other mags or putting 1-2 drops of silicone into the mag Also try this Flash a flashlight down your magwell and look at the nozzle, fire in semi or full auto see if the nozzle returns far enough back so that you cant see it. If it does go back far enough its your mag, Try KA or TM ones see if it makes a difference |

I have 4 plastic mags. They came with the gun. I presume they are KA. Midcaps.
I'll try lubing the mags. I've also heard of sanding down the 'BB retainer' a few mm.... Is that in the mag well or that little clip in the mag that holds the bb's back?

On the mag right?
Could that be the issue? I could see it, and not. The 5-6 BB's fall out of the magwell when I unload the mag...

don't remove more than 2mm on the bb retainer. You can use a sharp knife to file it, fastest way.

Similar problem...
I had a similar problem with an m16. I sanded and lubed all my mags and after doing all that realized that my tappett plate was worn. All I had to do was beg Sha Do to change my tappett plate and the problem disappeared. It's a 15 dollar part.

Just be careful when you use the mags. When you get silicone oil on your hop up rubber you will be shooting like crap. What I did was, I used some bb's and loaded the mag to the full. Then i emptied the mag onto a paper towel, wiped the bb's down and repeated the procedure for each mag.
