m4 trigger guard

soo i just bought the magpul enhanced trigger guard. mostly so the stock guard will stop tearing my finger up.

anyway i have no idea how to get that stupid pin out of the one thats in there now. the front peace came out easy. that was more of a button but the rear one seems to be fighting me. anyone know how to get this out?

its a kwa m4 btw.

I use a finishing nail and hammer to get pins out. Works like a charm. Put the nail into the pin and gently tap with the hammer. It should come out pretty easily.

as Crunch said, drive the pin out...

BUT!!!
- make sure the other side of the trigger guard is supported...knock stubborn pins out and hammering them in is exactly how people crack their metal bodies. A block of wood, or whatever...just make sure the other side is supported.

- A finishing nail is fine, punches are better. Allen keys will work, as will a broken micro-screwdriver.

- good, sharp tap with a metal hammer to get it moving...and then you should be able to push it out.

- if it really doesn't want to go...try from the other side

If that doesn't work, you may need to press the pin out. A barclamp and jig with a nail setup will do it.

they aren't great images but from using it around my house its better but its not great. it doesnt try to tear your finger apart so much anymore.

anyway thanks for the help. the finishing nail was a good tip. altho it took a bit more force then i thought it would. kinda scared me at first but got it to work.
