Problem with my m4

I just finished installing the hop up into my m4 and it shoots way too low. I turned the hop up all the way up and it still shoots lower than where i aim. Maybe it's my sights. i don't really know. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Clean your barrel till the paper/towel is white.
Add silicone oil to your rubber.

Hop up doesn't work at 10 feet. You need to shoot it out at the field.

If not, you need to adjust your sights lower.

Before you do ANY of that, how far away are you from what you're shooting?

Heeheehee....

To the original poster...if you're shooting across your bedroom you will always be shooting low with your rifle...the Line Of Sight, LOS, (i.e. the straight line drawn from your eye, through your rear sight and front sights) is significantly above the centerline (CL) of the barrel.

If you're shooting in your basement where you have 10 or so meters (about 30-33ft), I've always found that adjusting your sights so that you're shooting about 1-1.5" above your Point of Aim (POA) will get you close out in the field.

Adjusting your hopup and sighting in your rifle are two different things. Personally I think that you should adjust your hopup first...then your sights. You need more than 30ft to adjust your hopup. You need to be out in a field so you can visually track the flight path of the bb. Once you get the hopup adjusted...then adjust your sights (large up/down with the front sight, small up/down with the rear sight, left/right with the rear sight) to hit what you're aiming at. (Obviously if you have optics or a RDS...all the vertical/horizontal adjustments are done on the optic)

****EDIT****
if there are any terms here that you are not familiar with...search them out on other websites...there are lots of good write ups on sighting in out there already.

You are probably talking about the nub.

Everyone is clueless about that when the first install a hop up.

I didn't know what that piece was, so I threw it in my pile of junk.
Gladly I saw the other thread, and said, "So that's what it's for!".
