Almost scratch building a gun.
Alright, because I really want a C7A1 rifle, but aparently the only kind is the real steel version which I don't think i can use at extreme Tactics. So, because I don't feel confident in buy a $600-$800 m16 just to cut off the metal carry handle and mod some other rails onto it I have been looking at other alternatives. I think I'm either just going to buy an Ca m15a4 or buy this: http://www.shootsoft.ca/clearsoft/pr...products_id=44 and reinforce the plastic body then cram in CA or TM parts. Does anyone have a tutorial on how to disassemble an M16 so I can figure out which parts/ company to buy from?? Thanks and opinions are welcome, although I would like some help before the bonfire starts.

It say's its 3/4 scale so I don't think any CA or TM parts will actually fit in it.

NO! Do not buy that gun. It's a piece of shit, and notice it also says 3/4 scale? It will not be compatible with ANYTHING TM or CA, especially internals. And you wouldn't want to try to upgrade a Firepower gun anyway.

Wow, I didn't think anyone would be on asc right now!! Anyways, thanks for the quick replys, and I was wondering about the 3/4 scale. Thanks for clearing that up. I found a few other crapsoft guns that I could mod, although I'm not too sure about the scales. If anyone has alternate ideas on how I could make a C7A1 please post them. Heres a link to a picture of the C7A1. http://world.guns.ru/assault/as44-e.htm
Or maybe I could mod this gun, http://www.shootsoft.ca/clearsoft/pr...products_id=61 Remember that I'm not exactly upgradeing a crapsoft gun, I'm taking out the internals and (hopefully) putting in TM or CA parts. To make sure that the parts fit, I'm going to first fiberglass the inside to re-inforce the clear body then use bondo to fill the rest up. Then I can use a dremel to make the space for the gear box and barrel. Any suggestions of which companies gear box to use is greatly welcomed. I need to find out which gear box is small, so it can fit in the body. I was thinking a Tm mp5 gear box, then modding the magazine of the R34 for the mp5 magazine to fit in. I would then use bondo to fix the outside. |

I suggest you buy a JG m16 A3 that'll cost you about $300-$400 and it's already half the way to a C7
You won't find anything on buyairsoft that's worth modding |

your sig isn't really standing up to what it says. right now, nowhere, because you are 15. fill in your profile, and wait 3 years, get verified, and you can buy off of the clasifieds.

Right now it looks like this is the current newest Canada option http://www.gp-web.com/en/newspop.php?nid=1069 but it's not a CF rifle body.
Your best bet is to find someone with an already built C7 who is retiring and selling it or changing their loadout. How do you find that guy? Go to local and regional games and get to know who's out there, and as stated up above here get yourself age verified so you can sit on the classifieds here and watch also. And of course if you're not 18+ you won't be able to take these steps yet. |

Wise words. Thats kind of what I'm doing, saving to buy a Good gun. I make all kinds of things so in the mean time I might buy a crappy gun and just make it look like a C7, sort of for display, and make a wood kit for my Ak, just small projects to keep me occupied until I'm 18, or at least 16 when I can play at extreme tactics with a parent present. Thanks alot for the good and suprisingly on topic replies. |
