HSGI Wasatch Cross straps
so i sifted around Google abit, but it seems that HSGI Wasatch
cross straps is a little ambiguous to yield any useful results. now i turn to knowledgeable folk. i want to take the rear panel of the wasatch off and run the two shoulder straps through the 45 degree loops just above the side buckles. is there a specific way to do this because when i try the straps are too short, or do i have to buy different straps. i know it sounds like a stupid question but but i wouldn't ask unless i really don't know. |

When you first get the Wasatch new, the straps are pretty long. Were you the first owner, or perhaps someone cut the straps?
In any case, is it 1.5" or 2" webbing? I can lengthen it for you or send you longer straps. |

mine are brand new. the two sholder straps have the d rings and velcro on the inside to be folded. when in the cross config, it just seems a little high.

You've got a tonne of room on the straps. You can adjust the tri-glides further up to allow for more slack. You're not limited to keeping them down at the lowest point.

That's called a CHEST RIG son...only MEN use them
But yeah, slide the tri-glide back up the strap and you can lower the vest to your belt line.

Ive got a question sort of on this topic...
What the hell are the little inserts that it came with for? I'm guessing they go in the mag slot thing... But.. I can't figure out how.. Anyone care to enlighten me? |

Do you mean the pieces that are supposed to hold your mags in?

I personnaly retract the central front flap inside the pouch behind the mag pouches and shift the rig as high as possible, so it rests on my torso and not my belly.
straps don't need to be so long then.

I'm having the same problem. I got mine used so I'm not too sure if the straps were shortened. It's not too bad if I'm only using the vest but if I have my frag vest under it, it's way too high.
I'm going to contact HSGI to see if I can get longer straps.
