Quick question about silencer...

I just want to make sure.

I have a G&P rifle (clockwise threads on barrel). I just ordered a G&P M4 QD silencer for it, but the company was out of stock on the clockwise version. So they are sending me a counter-clockwise one. I swang a deal so they kept the flashhider that comes with it, and gave me a little discount.

My question is are the two silencers the same (the anti and clockwise)? I assume they are, and the only difference is the flashhiders threads that come with the silencer. The silencer itself just fits over the flashhider right? My G&P rifle already has that exact flashhider show.

I shouldn't have a problem attaching the silencer right?

I'm a few months into airsoft - pretty new...

THANKS!

BTW: I was age verified, but am waiting for Lisa to change my status (I guess she's on vacation.

Some silencers fit right over the flash hider, others require you to remove the flash hider, and screw it directly onto the barrel.

If what you ordered is the type that screws directly onto the barrel and the threads are opposites, you won't be able to attach the silencer on it's own; you'll need an adaptor of some sort (CW-to-CCW or vice-versa).

If it's the type that fits right over the flash hider, I dunno.

That's a QD(Quick Detach) silencer, it directly goes over the flash hider.

There shouldn't be any problem.

Good luck receiving it if you've ordered it from out of Canada

Thanks Skladfin. I didn't think it would be a problem.

I've noticed in this forum that anytime, anyone asks, about buying anything, someone like you comes along and makes a post like yours... Very helpful, thanks!

its fine man, just take it easy. I wrote this somewhere else on the forums:

"I've had Mk23 type silencer shipped from WGC shop to here. And the customs had inspected it and evidently opened up my package to see the silencer.

When I was taxed, the customs receipt had the following written:

Shipment Value: $280 - GUNS, Parts - Tax: $xxxx

So they ACTUALLY knew that it was a "Gun" part and they actually gotten it to me.

I don't have ANY firearms license or anything, neither does anyone living on my address."

Yup, I got it through =) legally
