Is there a way to weaken a spring.
I know this is a stupid question but is there a way to weaken a spring without damaging it? I mistakenly bought a SystemA M150 spring. I would like to use it but I am reasonably certain that it will be a bigger upgrade then is locally allowed (425 FPS). I also don't think my mechbox will handle it.
Any ideas? Anybody want to buy it?

Replace it. Meaning, your only other options are to cut a few coils off then test it, or leave it compressed for a few weeks/month to weaken it, but that'd stress out your internals by holding it, as well, you'd only lose 20-30fps by doing that.
