Gear Checklist
I initially planned to attend a game last summer (shortly after turning 18) but due to health issues (arthritis), I've had to hold off (and even wait this summer as well). In the meanwhile I've decided to assemble a decent load-out so that I may hopefully attend a game next year.
I'm in the process of creating a shopping list for an entire load out (hopefully I will be able to obtain ALL of the gear on the list by the end of the year). What I have: Primary (G&P M4--I have a muzzle velocity reducer, I haven't been able to chrony it yet) Secondary (TM Hi-Capa 5.1) CRKT M16 Folding Knife Extra magazines for both 3 point sling Duty Belt Drop leg holster What is on my list to get: Load Bearing Vest (With mag pouches and such already on it) Pack Radio / Throat microphone / headset Suitable boots CADPAT (Likely from Seals Action Gear... looking around still) or maybe Multicam Knee Pads Boonie Paintball goggles (Currently using polycarbonate lenses) What I'm unsure of: Elbow pads Paracord Gloves Hydration pack (Could put watter bottles in normal pack?) Compass Anorak (In case of rain) Binoculars Electrical Tape Flashlight Chronograph Ideally, the gear would be just enough that I would not be put at a disadvantage against an average player. If there is anything on the list that isn't that useful, please do tell. If there is something I missed that I should be adding, please inform me as well. If my list is good as is, I'll get what I've included on it (Excluding the maybe items). Thank you for reading this long post. -VM Last edited by Affliction; July 19th, 2007 at 05:18.. |

Water bottles make a lot of noise when theres is the tiniest bit drank out of them. So if you're trying to be nice and stealthy, your cover can be easily blown. I suggest a Camelbak or some other kind of hydration carrier.

Vipa
If you able to, take a drive out here to Trenton and you can check out almost all the gear on your list in person.

If i were 18 and had arthritis, to an extent that kept me from starting airsoft that summer... i might be inclined to not spend too much on the hobby till i was sure what my health was doing.... good to see that you want to be prepared tho....

Get the mortar gloves! They're the best ones I've used thus far, and Army Issue has some great deals if you feel like advertising on your chest
