Cheap Bungee sling
Similar sells for $28 +shipping.
Phantom One Point Sling clone Heavy duty (contractor grade) bungee cord from CanT 2@40" $6 ($2.49 or 2.99 each can't remember) shrink hose 1' $1 (rip off) key rings 2 (found them in house) a few 8 medium size ty wraps (found in house) some black electrical tape $1 at dollar store (found in house) black clip $1 at dollar store. hmm under $11 I may use some black cloth strap i have laying around to make it adjustable , but i measured it before using ty wraps, and it fits perfectly over gear.

You can buy the heat shrink with heat activated glue on the inside, then you wouldn't need the tie wraps to keep it solid. It would make for a much smoother connection and would be super solid.

If it works I guess that's good for you but honestly bungee slings are already pretty cheap, some of them go for 15$ used.
