Largest 8.4v battery in ak(fullstock)

Quick question. Whats the largest mAh 8.4v battery i can fit in a tm ak-47? i have a 3600, but cannot close the buttstock with the battery installed, (ie too big).

mah doesn't matter it is voltage that limits the gun, and you may have to modify the battery compartment to fit ( dremel out).

If mah doesn't matter then why doesn't his 8.4 (normal voltage) battery fit?

Kerbosa you might have to modify your stock a little bit - I know with my mp5 I had to shave down the inside of the stock and the battery is still a really tight fit.

I'm running a 3300 mah battery.

Maybe his pack has larger cells, I think they are usually SC type?
I know larger ones exist and that may be the size problem.

the pack fits fine in my mp5. It is an "ace power" rc car pack, and i did have to remove the plastic cap that covers the leads to fit in the mp5. I am wondering if maybe i need to get a pack that uses smaller cells. this pack uses sub-c cells.

How is it not fitting? Regardless you should be able to mod it to fit - it'll be worth it.

Sometimes you just gotta jerk your battery of in your stock....seriously.

I crammed an 8.4 4200mah in my MP5 stock, got stuck, pulled like all hell to get it out, put it back in, but it was a little easier that time. Repeat this process until it begins to slide in and out to your liking....it will happen.

But that first time you really gotta pack it in tight and push like door-to-door solicitor to get it out.

has to do with the cap on the batteries, some have thicker insulation at top and bottom, the 8.4v GP 3000Mah battery fits in anything and its a real good battery, lasted about 4 years so far, still charges to 3000Mah

there is no cap on the battery. the problem is that the cells are too big, and therefore the cap on the buttstock will not close. i guess i will take it to the hobby shop and see if i can get one made with smaller cells.
