Glock 26C Hammer Assembly Reconstruction Project

I'm sure you've all seen this post dozens of times before, so I'll keep it brief.

I've taken apart my KSC Glock 26C to install an enhanced hammer spring. (Need I say more?)
I seem to lack the skilled-fingers, as well as the patience & time required to put the five pieces of the hammer assembly back into it's shell. (Picture attatched)

I'm in Toronto, and would prefer to keep this a local, but if need be, I can ship the pieces out.

Please, help meeeeee!

Thanks,
Mirage

Well, now I've fucked myself. I kept trying, and almost got it (to the point where it was all connected again, except the little piece that actualy makes contact with the magazine was not seated correctly.

When I removed the main pin to try to reseat it, the piece came off completely, and so did it's spring...

There's no chance in hell I'm going to be able to put this thing back together now...

Who out there has hands capable of doing this!?
Please PM me!!

A one man thread, I've got going here.

Okay, so with the aid of tweezers, I managed (somehow... Jesus, thank you) to get that teeny spring and piece back into the main block. Now, back to square one.

JohnnyDo PM'd me this, which I found to be very helpful:

Quote:
the trick to getting it in is to NOT try and get the hammer spring lined up with the large metal bracket until the pin that holds the hammer in place is in.

- put spring back on firing pin
-align the firing pin so that it sticks out the hole in front of the main mount
- while holding the mount with the firing pin facing away from you, there is a small bar that goes on the left, leave this out
- put the trigger bar on the hammer with the top right cornor of the trigger bar against the nub on the side of the hammer
- put the hammer in the mount such that the fireing pin sticks out.... the hammer will have to go in, in position as if it alreayd fired ie facing forward. the hammer spring must go through the mount such that is does not rest on the peice that holds it normally
- stick that small bar in the left side of the mount between the hammer and the main mount.
- put the pin in that holds the hammer ... use a small screw driver and poke things from behind to align with the pin
- use the same screw driver to push the hammer spring on the ledge of the main mount.
- congrats yoru done. if you can't do this yourself then it's best to send it off to someone with more experiance or teflon fingers hehe.
Finally, this site describes the experience of changing a ksc glock hammer spring really, really well:

Anyways, back to work. :hammer:
Wish me luck!

Sweeeeet. It's all back together and in perfect working order!

The trigger assembly was a bit tricky to get back into place, but after 5 mins of fooling around with it, and removeing and replacing it a few times, it was no problem.

Thank you agagin, John! I couldn't have done it without your helpful instructions. I needed to know what order to place those pieces back in, and your guide helped tremendously.

Woooooo enhanced hammer springs for all!!! lol

Best of luck to anyone who attempts this "horror show" of an upgrade. :salute:

glad to help you out. I've taken apart and fixed more glocks now that I care to remember. The order and procedure to put it all back together again is the key to the entire opporation. Just don't ask how long it took me to find a way that it all goes together quickly and easily. Now I can assemble the lower end hammer assembly in about 5 minutes give or take.

cheers,

John

I'd like to see a video of that!

Moving on to the next problem:

One day, (and probably a few more hundred dollars later), she will be perfect...
