Best bet is bring it to a gun doctor, I know Blastyman is close to you, so he'll be able to hook you up right. I'd say you can probably keep everything stock with the upgraded spring, but I don't know what's prone to breaking in the v6, good idea to get an upgraded spring guide too. And an M110 should do the trick I believe.

I run the basic bushing and spring upgrade in mine (top power 170% and 10.8 volt power pack)... Not mutch is prone to breaking in the V6 unlike the V2. Make sure you get V6 metal bushing as tehy are not the same as teh V2/V3 sets. As for spring a sytema m100 or guarder sp90/sp100 should suit your need quite nicely. Porting the piston head would be a good thing specialy with high ROF.

I bought my thompson when they came out. The only problem I had with it was my fault....some will remember my electrical tempering mishap that ended up feeding 16.8 volt in the gun and stripped the piston and cracked the nozzle.

I've been running a 10.8 volt power pack with metal busing, top power 170 (fps around 380)springs and vented piston head, the rest of the box is stock. I've been running that setup for about 4 years now...and cleaned her up for the first time last week (before selling her) and the internals showed minimal to negligable wear on all internal parts. The only worn out part was the spring. For some reason I have a very heavy finger ( well considering that she empties the mag in what 3 seconds) when I use her as I had 12 lows and 3 high....

How about the outer barrel? I saw your mod somewhere and I have done a bit of searching but I can't find the site.

I've made two different outer barrel mods:

simple support repair:

and complete replacement (that should be up for sale in the coming weeks....)

Is it possible to do a complete replacement and still keep the look of the A1?

Solo: yeah I can make just about what ever I want in the look I want...

Erik: the front end is made out of 6061-t6 aircraft aluminium with a real steel vertical foregrip... the rest of the gun will desintegrate before the front end goes anywhere

My question for the M1A1 Thompson is, does it still make alot of rattling like the real one does? Cause I remember that being one of the draw backs to the weapon. Made too much noise just running around with, so your enemy could here the noise and find you... But Gangsters didn't care about that... it was all just blasty blasty
