TMarui Glock 26 Advance Modification Help

Hey All!

I recently picked up a Tokyo Marui Glock 26 Advance to use as a sidearm in my sniper loadout. After I did a bit more research *after I bought it* I realized that this model was going to be a little tricky to modify given the unusual design. Now, I'm still quite new to GBB's in general, but from what I've gathered, Green Gas is the harbinger of doom for a Tokyo Marui- while death is not immediate, its only a matter of time. When I've looked around for a solution to this issue, the most common fix I've seen is to replace the plastic slide with a metal one. My first question is whether or not this is true? Are there any other parts I need to replace? The unique shape of the G26 Advance seems like it will make finding and installing these upgrades more difficult. Does anyone know what parts will fit the G26 Advance and if any DIY modifications would be required? My biggest concern about changing the slide out is the frontal compensator. Is it possible to fit this compensator to the front of a third-party slide?

Any other pointers or experiences using/modifying (etc.) the G26 Advance or other TM handguns is appreciated. Really hoping I didn't make a mistake by purchasing this model

Thanks in advance for stopping by, and for your help
