M249 swing arm mount for vehicle, anyone have experience with this?

Looking at starting an airsoft vehicle build, with a Yamaha Rhino. I've looked at various mount options and have settled on a swing arm type mount. Has anyone built something similar? Any tips, tricks or suggestions. I've priced real mounts, but obviously big price tag and don't need something quite that heavy duty.

Thanks

Y'know you can just adapt an articulated monitor arm.... and with the strut in the arm, you get some shock absorption

Thanks, not sure a monitor mount will do well with the bouncing and constant swivelling/moving of gun. Looking to more to have fabricated out of steel.

My dad used to sell monitor arms. There's a lot of options out there, but your standard office monitor arm is not going to survive holding a 22lb gun as it bounces around on a vehicle.
Plus they're ridiculously overpriced.

i built one that bolts on to the mirror mount on my truck, its very simple to make you need to know, and have access to a welder. along with 2 sizes of round steel tubing, 1 needs to fit snugly into the other and some square tubing for the arm sections,
O::::::O <- arm section x 2 on one end of one of them put the smaller tube in and weld it in place so the arms pivot together, then make a U shaped piece that fits over the mount section of the gun and weld a section of the small tube to the bottom of the U with a few bolts and a mount for the vehicle end you are off and gunning down your enemies

talk to Gish and Ken from 007. Both have made mounts for their defenders. Not sure about swivel mounts but they can point you in the right direction for materials used.
