Ball bearings + solid bushings
Hey guys,
I saw a user on here recommend using ball bearings on your bevel gear and solid bushings on the sector and spur gear for slightly better performance over solid bushings across the board. Would this make much of a difference in the durability of the gearbox and would it help speed a bit? I'm thinking of doing this with a 6mm gearbox and I know 6mm ball bearings aren't the greatest and not usually recommended. |

6mm solid bushings.. don't go bearings.. even in 7mm bearings are not so hot.. bearings are good in 8mm gearboxes.

bigger problem is nobody uses decent bearings, they're all crap.
You need to go kanzen if you want really GOOD bearings, otherwise just run bushings on everything. |
