going from 363mm - 229mm barrel

I have a stock G&P m4 and im looking to make it into a CQB monster.

other then the barrel length change im also changing the cylinder that's good for 200-300mm

I have read a lot of posts about guys changing something internally and it didn't work well with the other components causing the gun to not perform. I am just making sure that with these changes, im not causing my gun any more stress on certain parts.

any help would be awesome.... thanks

Changing just a cylinder and barrel really shouldn't affect anything unless you mess up. The worst that I can think of is the cylinder head O-ring being to tight on the cylinder and tearing.

I'd just change the barrel and not worry about the cylinder. You will be over volumed a bit so you will joule creep a bit, but work more efficently with heavier rounds. Who plays with 0.20's anyhow other than where required by field bb's and for chrono testing...

^ that.

the ported cylinder vs the end port cylinder shouldn't make much of a difference, in fact the full cylinder vs ported cylinder still should not make a difference except for the mentioned joule creep.

Besides, overvoluming on a short barrel with a muzzle amplifier makes the gun stupidloud... perfect for terrorizing cqb arenas.
