Why does 007 still sell with clear plastic receivers?

I was into this hobby a long time ago when you could still get full metal guns from 007. Then the law clamped down and 007 moved to clear plastic receiver guns due to Canadian import laws, and I lost interest.

However today I found out there are numerous sites in Alberta that sell full metal receiver guns and I'm confused why 007 still sells with plastic receivers?

Thanks.

inventory.... no one saw the reduction on FPS and the rational aproach to the import of airsoft guns coming.. a lot of retailers dumped resources into "Canadial Legal" guns.. only to be left holding them 8 months later

Let me dust off my degree and speculate. They sell them because people buy them.

Ken actually sells a wide range of products. Remember that clear or smoked receivers, stocks, or frames, can make a gun in eligible to be considered a replica. Therefore you can sell guns with lower FPS limits without breaking any laws. What Brian and Danke mentioned probably has something to do with it as well.

More likely is the reasoning that he just has a bunch of stock left over.

Ken sells some full metal guns. I'm sure once he sells out all of the SRC gen 1-3s he'll get more back in stock that are full metal.and the gen 1s will always be clear, they're meant for CQB fields that shoot under 366. Until then, paint them! My dragon looks really good with some camo black spray paint.
