Yeah, the places that our group-of-groups is playing in the GTA tend to be well-hidden and difficult (treacherous, even) for any member of the public to wander onto.

The ultimate loophole of any WELL RUN airsoft setup on private land is that a stranger can wander onto private land without knowing what's going on. For this reason, I think one of the pillars of airsoft that we should be preaching to everyone is positive identification of opposing forces when pulling the trigger.

If your playing in an area that its illegal to play in, it's a black area, not grey. My advice would be to find somewhere legal to play, so you don't get in trouble; or make airsoft look bad in your area. Plenty of people "getting away with something" is a bad example, not a good one. Many of the members of ASC have strived to work legally to make airsoft more acceptable in Canada; that's why things have improved, not because the authorities said, "to hell with it; they're going to do it anyways". I do see what your saying about grey areas, but I'd be careful about what advice you give to someone who is new to the sport, or underage.
