Thank you Jeroon! Good job on the civic mindedness.. the kids appreciate it, i'm sure. I'm impressed enough to say "it's worth the drive to Port Credit" when it comes time to getting me some kick ass pants also.

Why do you think he's giving away stuff...He knows it'll be repaid twice when you go and get the stuff from the store

Jeroon is evil like that!

As far as business practices go, that is a methodology that I can certainly live with, as compared to others..

Great field only getting better. Been busy with life lately, but hopefully I'll be out there sooner rather than later. Start to miss the boys club feel that 437 has after being away for nearly two months.

That's wicked Trev, I grew up in the sticks too, not exactly farming, but still plenty of work to keep a young fella full of piss and vinegar out of trouble... sort of, lol. Guess I'll need to buy a few hand grenades to help with clearing that building out when Charlie's set up shop in there, eh? Haha, death to Blue!

I gotta say man, as far as Airsoft goes, Hill 437 is all I need. Frequent enough games to stay in it, and the best group of guys out there. I haven't met all of them yet, but every one has been a stand up dude that I would totally have beers with. Thanks for the good times past and for those to come! See you on the field.

Ongoing field event thread here. Note that it is an invite field, to keep the overall player quality up. Contact Trev, and he'll ask a few questions to assure that you are a good fit for the field. So far the system has worked to keep the site shit-show free, and those that bring the correct attitude along with them, generally get the green light to the ASC private forum for the game site, to sign up to play.

Good luck.

Thanks HackD

You are correct the screening has no doubt worked. Even screened out the guy who unfortunately turned out to have mental issues (we assume) and was arrested in Hamilton near the golf course. We were PMing back and forth and the questions started going off. I believe he was at walk on game at a paintball place before and was considering showing at a game with a pellet gun.

If I dont know the guy, I search for someone who does, etc etc.

Generally we are more looking for respect than anything. Respect for the sport and the other players. Not flaking, calling hits, basically dont be a Dick and the rest will fall into place.

With the field having clear expectations like this upfront, I suppose the reason why we have had zero issues that I am aware of is because people know this is not the place for it. There is no reason to come, or try. It will simply mean a return to the car and a drive home. Pointless. There is no way to say "in +5" and bam you have bodies. Only to find 2 of the +5 have been booted from ASC. We check them all out.

Are the games smaller cause of this, HELL YA!. But the other side is the reason why people come.

Just another option to the sport I felt was missing.

Anyway, I dont want divert the thread from those kids working in the woods for a place for us to play!

NOW FITTED WITH ARMY ISSUE PANTS!

One more quick story that I always get a chuckle out of.

This field is of course not a paintball place or anything like that. Private land on a very nice farm. 360 degrees around us are crops.

We have a parking lot that is mowed in for us on the field.

One of my fears when starting this was having 30-35 guys come out, play, have lunch, and leave the place like a pig sty.

I go out their usually once a week by myself on an evening and just plink a few targets and fart around. Have a beer etc. Get away. Quite amazing actually how beautiful it is.

I always head home with a smile. Why? Cause I look down at the grass where 30-35 guys were last week and the weeks before and NEVER see a shred of gargbage.

RE-SPECT
