safety glasses/lens
I have a pair of quarter of an inch thick untinted prescribed safety glasses and half of an inch thick tinted safety glasses all provided by the military instead off the standard issue ballistic eyewear from bmq and I was wondering if said eyewear would qualify for safety eyewear in airsoft?

I don't see any reason why it wouldn't. I myself some times use my ballastics however I do not have glasses like yourself. The standard ballastics are designed to stop shrapnel so stopping an airsoft BB shouldn't be a challenge for them.

i don't recommend that glasses you provide on airsoft use. and a lot of people here will say the same.
bb's can bounce everywhere and the gap between that glasses and your eyes is big enough for the bb's to get into. unless you put a sideshield or a full 360 seal on that glasse then its ok. just by a goggles man. |

i think they will work fine, just make sure you put the side shields on them.you know so ya don't get bb's coming through the side of your glasses.

Go lay prone with glasses on. Try looking down range. The majority of glasses will not protect your eyes and you will be sighting your rifle with a naked uncover/unprotected eye. Not worth the loss of an eye. For people with prescription, spend the money on goggles with RX inserts or consider contacts. The regular JT's do fit over most prescription glasses and many use this method with an anti fog agent. Go search for the user Duckman and inserts. Also, just because something is rated better than what is required for airsoft, doesn't mean it will be accepted where you play. |

Get full seal goggles, most places will require them and it's safer, those look like some really small safety glasses with plenty of room for bbs to sneak in haha also if on the field with full load out i mean... if your brushing through forest and terrain, those glasses won't do much to protect you. even dust, sand, soil would be bad
