Vietnam era Suppressors?
Curious. Are there any airsoft suppressors/silencers out there that would be accurate to a vietnam era gun? The rifle in question is a WE XM177E2 that i'm throwing together.
From photos i've seen, something as simple as the 'tube' suppressors Action sells on Airsoftparts would work. But if there is a better choice I'd definitely take that over the other. Thanks! |

Mac-10 and grease gun had them. I can't recall a carbine with one though.

I bought the Action suppressor (140mm version) that you are referring to for my XM177.
Personally I think it would look way better with a longer suppressor with more girth. Here's a picture for reference: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images...011100133.jpg/ |

That's the 140mm one, I think the 250mm would probably look way better, but might still be a bit too skinny.
Can't really help you out on your question on the VN period authenticity though. I did sort through some random threads and found a few pictures of M16s with suppressors, so I don't think you can go wrong with a plain "tube" style: http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d1...6silencer1.jpg http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r...martinez19.jpg As you can probably figure with my optics choice, I was going more for the Black Hawk Down look. |

haha, those are the pictures I was looking at earlier!
And yeah, I figure i'll do just that. I'll buy the 25cm one next paycheque. Hopefully i'll have my other things by then too! Thanks. |
