Anyone have one of these?
Hey Guys; I am looking for a new red dot scope and a green laser for my M4 AEG, and I have come across a product that has both items I want in one convenient package.
Seems like a good idea, but I have been sucked into a few things that "sounded good on the Internet" before, and just because they sounded good doesn't mean that they work good. So I am wondering if anyone out there has any experiance with a scope / laser combo, and if you do, what do you think of them? Any hints, tips or advice would be appreciated. Gord

I wouldn't recommend getting something like that, there's a lot of places that don't allow laser and if they share a battery supply you might be SOL

Yeah dude, lasers are a big, big nono at most places. They are too dangerous for what they are worth. Buy a regular Aimpoint replica, you'll be much better off.

I don't actually play, I'm just a "gear guy".
As far as the power situation goes, each system has it's own batteries, if they shared a power source you would have a good point though. Thanks for the responses so far

Does look akward...
If you like the look, you would be way better with an Aimpoint Comp M4 and a rail-mounted laser. Reason is that you want the laser to be as close to the barrel as possible to minimise the difference in adjustment at ranges... Sitting over the RDS like that is really pointless and will cause more issue than solve. There is an EOTech clone with integrated side laser too, might want to look into it. |
