I, nor anyone I've ever met, has ever been issued a watch.

Don't think there is an "issue watch" for the CF
not sure why.. US issues watches , Brits do.. Germans do.. I guess the MOD thinks most would hawk it and buy beer... and they are probably right

It takes the CF years to select things as vital as weapon systems. Can you imagine how long it would take them to select a standard watch?

MOD? Isn't that a British thing? We have DND.
No, there is not a watch issued out to the CF. Some small groups may get a watch issued. I've heard Combat Divers did, but not sure if that still happens. And there is no watch that is issued out to all members of the US Military. Again some small organizations(I heard some SOF guys are issued watches) may buy their own watch and issue it out to it's members. Troops(CF and US) just buy their own watches, Casio, Suunto and Timex are pretty popular Last edited by -Skeletor-; September 22nd, 2011 at 17:09.. |

There is a CF watch in the works. There was a survey sent out last fall to members of what they would like to see in a service watch. Whether anything ever comes of this who knows, but at least it was on some officers mind somewhere.
