picatinny rail question
here's what may end up being a silly question, are the mounting holes in rails to mount the rail to the gun always a set distance apart or does it vary from application to application?
I have a mount for rails for my m14, and there are screw holes at a standard distance apart and in the event that I want more rails for whatever reason, if I can just buy whatever extra rail pieces I can find and screw them down without issue. |

bugger, guess I'll have to buy some long generic rails and do some drilling.

You can get rail extenders:
http://yankeehillmachine.com/store/product260.html (Just an example) So get your basic rail, then extend There's better versions than the above, but I hope you get the idea.

I have this:
http://www.airsoftpost.com/product_i...ducts_id=31876 It comes with 2 little stubby ones and a longer one plus whatever is on top, I can't imagine needing more than that, but just in case. Turns out there are uncut/drilled ones on ebay that I can just get and drill and cut to my desired length and mount points, if not I can order the longest one I can find and do the same... that's if I need more, which is unlikely as far as I can see. |
