There are MP5K's that operate on gas, like propane/green but I'm not sure about CO2.
They're the Maruzen and chinese copies of that gun.

The Maruzens & its clones definately wont take CO2, the mags are a weak 2 piece design that barely holds propane and the guns internals need some modding to even run propane.

The old Escort MP5s were HPA so it could be a conversion of that.

The only other thing out there is an Umarex MP5k co2 but thats .177 steel bbs so definitely not airsoft, unless he modded it re: same

There's the FTC (which I've got) and for the life of me right now I can't remember if it's Maruzen who did the gas/electric hybrid.

Is that the one that uses gas to propel the bb and feeds it electrically, or vise-versa?

Did a search as I also couldn't recall and found it was MGC that manufactured the hybrid.

Here is a youtube video of a MGC MP5k test firing. From the looks of it the battery source is used to chamber rounds while the gas is used to shoot the bb's.
