L96 issues, please help!
Hi there, I am the owner of a Well L96 OD Green. I recently took my gun apart and found out that the mechanism that holds the magazine in has broke.
Also, the little metal rod that hold that plate that you see perpendicular to the magazine holder, keeps coming out. The third image is of me holding the piece that broke off. See attached pictures ![]() ![]() ![]() without this mechanism working, I cannot remove my magazines when empty. Please HELP!!! THANK YOU! |

That's pot metal for ya. Thankfully mine's held up alright. Unfortunately, you're gonna need a new mag catch. Not sure where you'd find one though. You could try JB Welding the broken piece back on but I'm not sure how well that will hold.
As for your loose barrel, if you mean the outer barrel, loosen the tiny hex screw (allen screw...whatever you want to call it) and see if you can tighten the outer barrel a turn or two but make sure your mag catch (the broken thing in your first post) lines up with the receiver. On the other hand, if you're talking about your inner barrel, you'll need to upgrade from the stock pieces of foam to better barrel spacers. Find them here: linky. Hope this helps. Good luck. |

As for the inner barrel, the Well L96 has two barrel spacers that are easily knocked loose. They probably need resetting or as aznpos531 mentioned, replacing.

Yeah, I'm not to worried about the barrel, and it's the outer barrel that's loose, I'm more worried about this stupid little piece that broke off...it's irritating that this little piece can cause the gun not to fire. I'm not a tool guy, so I have no Idea where to even start with this.

I've been looking around and found a few sites that sell it. You could try ordering from them. google search
Just pick one of the sites and give it a try. Your only other option is to use JB Weld and stick the broken piece back in place. I'm not sure how well it'll work tho. By saying your outer barrel is loose, do you mean that it's wobbling side to side/up and down or just rotating around and not staying in place? If it's the former, just screw it in as far as you can, align the mag release piece with the receiver and tighten the little screw in the receiver. If it's the latter, just align the mag release with the receiver and tighten the screw.

Ahh ok, then one just has to take the orange bit off? Which, I'm guessing, just screws off.

Yup. It's glued in place though so you'll need to use pliers and a bit of elbow grease.
