m-17 gas mask straps
there is this gas mask i had fancied, so when i am able to legally play airsoft, i would like to buy a gas mask for my layout
but the thing is that there is no straps for and the supplier dont sell them its a mark 17 mask, it has no crack in the rubber, just missing the straps does anyone know where i can buy some in edmonton? otherwise i guess i will to buy a non official one from a company that sell regular masks. thanks (of course saying that they will still have some in stock)

the lenses in gas masks are not ballistic rated.

not to mention some models of gas masks are notoriously hard to see out of.
One of my sergeants uses one now and then, he has it painted up like Mimi from Drew Carey I put it on once, I swear I could see left and right at the same time. if you have a -high- powered rifle to test on the lenses from under 2 feet and using .43's, I'd call it a pretty safe mask. Be sure to test the rubber too, as most of the time the lenses are held into the rubber without anything else, so if the edge became warped over time you might have some issues with your mask. (not that its likely to pop out during a game, but overall its the decision of the land owner) |

well, i can just always replace it with a ballistic one
well its just for gear, not intended for real use cause methinks the mask seems to be inoperative or something? now to the point where can i get (in edmonton), head straps/harness for it?
