go light recce and get an alice setup(belt rig same stuff.... I love ALICE systems so yeah). well there has to be a purpose for night ops but the common ones are night recce so a light setup should suffice. that or a war belt with a couple of pouches in OD. dont get tan or black. keep it simple and it should work.

I think the mistake I was making was assuming that Night Ops were the guys in all black jumping from planes and doing secret missions in the night.

So after taking an afternoon to do some research and reading on 'night ops' all that black stuff doesn't seem very practical and must just be for the Hollywood affect.

I already have woodland bdu pants (although fading after only 3 washes!) and an OD vest, think i might just start building upon that stuff.

Our team plans to do a lot of practices in the night so i want to be prepared.

However the earlier comment that was made about knockoff apparel glowing in IR really worries me...i dont like that at all.

Yeah dude, if we fire up the NODs, you guys glow like it was picking up your heat signatures.

Digital Subduded or Urban Digital works best I find

EDIT:

This is my current night loadout I wore during a past day game.

Only minor difference is a black skull mask instead of using my balcalava.
