I'm having an issue where the hop up seems to be on all the time. I'm shooting at target about 100ft away and the bb's are rising 20ft away from the target.

gun is stock.
hop up is off.
BB's are .28g.
flat line trajectory till 75-85ft then a 3-4 foot rise.

Is this normal or is there problem with the hop-up or inner barrel?

Not sure if it will help at all but have you taken it apart and cleaned everything?

heavier BB's

This past weekend I was using a Maruzen APS2 with PSS2 150sp Spring, 0.3 Bastards, and I believe a stock barrel.

At 70-80' I was getting flyers. Had I brought my heavies, I would have had no issues. Didn't help that the field Bastard didn't have any .36's....

At range, I could technically still hit people but I was aiming about 10' below my intended target. With safety in mind, I didn't take those shots as they would likely fly straight up and into their face or jaw/chin.

It should not do that when hop-up is off, at least not a stock gun.

I would check if the hop-up in properly installed and if the barrel is bent first.

You can also replace then whole barrel/hop-up unit with a TM one for quite cheap, and that will be miles ahead of the stock one.

I had a similar issue before, but it ended up being a slight misalignment in the hop up.

I will second on the possibility of a bent barrel.. especially with clones.
