I have a VFC mk43 m60 and i like it the only plm is you need a mosfet put in it.
It has the same trigger contacts as a classic army 249 so they get corroded after awhile and it stops working. But it's pretty cool. price $2000+. |

A & K VN M60's can be had for ~$800. They come with a MOSFET installed and you can do a quick spring change with the gear box. The build is solid, mine survived a 4' drop onto concrete without issue.
The only minor problems I had were the cruddy stock hop up and the pain in the butt to remove plastic blaze orange AR style flash hider that it comes with (the M60 flash hider comes uninstalled). I cannot compare it's performance to a $3K VFC but mine shoots effectively to ~180' with .25's at ~350 fps. What I really want is an MG such as an M60 / MG34 or a .50 Cal that is 8mm and gas powered via an external source.
