Magpul UBR for lipo conversion

Hey Guys/Gals

I'm getting myself an UBR and I hear that they come with a larger Buffertube designed specifically for batteries. I was wondering if I would need to modify my gun in any way (apart from rear wiring, I have already done that) to get this to work. AKA dremeling out a hole to fit my cables etc.

For your reference I use a KWA M4

Not enough space for current 11.1V or 7.4V buffer tube lipo whic are still too long.

I am asking my battery supplier to make lipo for UBR.

The King Arms 11.1 1100 MAh Lipo fits completely into a standard CA M4 buffer tube. Is this tube any different? I don't know it's dimensions relative to a regular M4 tube.

there are "short" stick type lipos 11.1@1100 mah that will fit in the ubr buffer tube just fine. I'm using Firefox 11.1v 15c 1100mah in my ubr tube.

What are you talking about? Any 3 panel 11.1 lipo will fit. I have posted here and on ASM pictures and many users in the phillipines have the same setup.

Because my UBR setup is to take the triangle covers off and leave it open. I don't like the bulky look of the UBR stock with the battery compartment covers.

My thought is to hold the battery in the tube only.

I just trid again today and the tube has enough space for 11.1 and 7.4V lipo battery, but not enough for the wires and tayami connector. I believe dean connector should work or those plug wire connector even better.

If connector( dean or tayami ) can be put inside the butt tube instead of in the buffer tube, there should be even space for a 11.1V bufer tube lipo and a saftey alarm.

my friend did it for his UBR. I will check to see how he did it and maybe show you for your own aeg.
