Opinions wanted ESS eye protection

Fellas,
Just about to order some eye protection and was wondering if you had any thoughts on ESS Profiles or Advancers? Just starting out and I'm curious as to which one you'd pick and why? Thanks....

Well, I wear glasses and the only ones that can fit them underneath are the ESS Land Ops. BUT, if I were to get inserts or wear without glasses, I'd be all over the V12 Advancer's.

Buddy of mine wears them when driving and loves them. Gets a good seal around the face and they're small enough not to be a nuisance when not wearing a helmet.

I have Land Ops, and I love it. And for 17$. And I wear prescription glasses.

I have the ESS Profile NVGs. They're nice and compact and fit my head and face nicely (I have a small head). The lenses are nice and clear and easily changeable to new or different lenses. I haven't gamed or anything like that with them yet so I can't give you my opinion. Overall I like them, but there is one thing I didn't like and it was fogging. Sometimes the lenses fog up easily or will just look wet and I have to take them off to wipe them. I was breathing just through my nose at those times though, so that might be the reason why (I wear my balaclava when wearing the goggles).

As for Advancers, I have heard really good things about them, but can't offer my opinion on them other than I don't like the design. They look like swimming goggles.

I have Profile NVGs also but I went with the fan version. I can't say enough good about them. Before that I was utterly blind with fogged lenses.

I have a couple of pairs of Profile NVGs (color coordinating accessories is important :P ) and like them a lot. They're fairly big (compared to say T800s) when worn alone, but offer good unobstructed vision and are still compact enough to allow a proper cheek weld with most guns. They work well with a MICH/ACH.

I use Rx inserts in them, which also fit in my ESS ICE 2.4s -- meaning I only need one set of prescription lenses made for all my glasses/goggles, which is nice.

Another big plus is replacement/upgrade lenses are relatively cheap and readily available from CPGear. ESS also offers excellent customer service for anything else you can't find locally (I had to order replacement pieces for my ICEs once, they gave me outstanding service).

As for fogging, I do get some (specially on the inserts) if the ports along the top of the goggles get blocked off (such as by the brim of a boonie or a shemagh). Otherwise they've been pretty good when used in conjunction with Catcrap (anti-fogging), even in adverse conditions (cold weather + rain).

I use ESS Land Ops with some Fanz (dual) I mounted. Great goggles and no fogging.

Love my ESS Ice.
Not expensive, come with 3 lenses colors, very resistant and NEVER fog.
