Upgrade Aftermath Kraken Battery

Hey everyone, I have decided to purchase an Aftermath Kraken.
Since I have heard that the Battery is terrible, I want to purchase a new one
to put in it.

I have some questions.
-What battery would you guys recommend.(Link?)
-Will a 9.6V harm the gun?
-What size does the gun take, some people say small, Others large.

Thanks guys.
-Angry

my friend has a kraken and he told me the battery is not bad but if you do decide the battery sucks then you can get one but it has to be the exact same size because the stock is small and the stock just barley holds the battery. Also it comes with a small battery i have read some where that you can mod the stock to be larger.

Also if u got ur gun after last christmas ur stock will be large enough to hold a large battery but i recommend u either buy a new stock or shorten the wire length so u can fit it with ease!

Do any of you guys have a Recomendation on what brand to use?
A link would help for a battery that would fit in the stock and is of good quality.

Anything Intellect http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/intellect...arge-type.html
Note: You do not have to pick this one, I am just using it as an example

Any large battery (7-cell sub-c arranged in odd-double) that uses Intellect or Elite cells is great.

+1 for Elite cells. Check out www.cheapbatterypacks.com
Just go through the airsoft menus to get to the TM AK47 (not AK47S).
I have the 8.4v (7 cell) 5000mah one, and the stock had to be modded on the inside to fit it. I'd recommend the one size down. They have awesome prices, awesome product and fast cheap shipping!
Edit: Make sure you switch your gun to deans connectors, you can choose the option to have them pre-installed on the battery (female on the battery), and then all you need to do is cut the tamiya off the gun and solder on a male deans connector. If you don't know how get a gundoc or soldering capable person to help you.
