Need advice on an up comming project
Hello all,
I want to mod either a TM Hi Cappa 5.1 or TM 1911A1 to make it look like the picture below Beside from the engraving, can you guys give me advice on which base gun should I use and which metal body kits or slide should I use on this? Thank you so much in advance for any help and advice |

You should paint it with acrylic using a fine hobby paint brush. You can easily carve that stuff into plastic then paint. Using a stencil will only make things harder so free hand it. Youll probably be better off unscrewing every screw and only painting things once its apart. Let it dry for hours between paint and do it over a week. Canadian tire and walmart have a great selection of plastic guns. Get one thats Co2 and you will be the baddest dude on the field!

Thank you Con Murder,
I am actually thinking of using a TM Hi Cappa 5.1, you don't recommend that? |

No, no I am sorry. Dude I wasn't seriouse at all. Umm see your in the USA and that opens up doors for you that we don't have soooo, long story short something like this is a little over the top/expensive/not of interest. I suggest another forum that is familiar with your countries retailers.

Dude you can get hi-capas for pennies compared to what we pay here in Canada so why not go and get yourself a TM hi-capa? Honestly though. A 5.1 Hi-capa is $150 USD for you whereas we pay ~$330.
As for the gun itself it looks like you might have to do some fabrication yourself or find someone who can do it for you. Talk to Illusion about your project and I'm sure he can help you out. He has pretty much everything you need/want. http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showpos...82&postcount=4 If you have the money I'm sure he can get a custom slide for you with everything you want on it. As to the grips it's probably best if you free hand that. Unless you're **REALLY** good with an airbrush you can probably stencil it in with a kind of fading/overspray effect. EDIT: Airsoft Extreme is probably your best bet as to parts and such since they're in CA too.

That's actually a 1911, not a double stacked 2011.
You can buy any metal kits for MEU or 1911. As for the slide, WE makes blank metal slides which you can easily get it laser engraved. Don't carve it yourself. Ask around, Google for local laser engravings. The metal lower frame, I don't know any company with a frame grip like that. Last edited by Shirley; September 15th, 2009 at 20:01.. |

TM 1911 w/ a Shooter's Design silver metal kit.
Then get everything PROFESSIONALLY engraved. Don't choose an MEU because an MEU wouldn't be able to take that rear sight. |
