Eh, dual-citizenship has it's perks for me. If I can't order it to Canada, I order it to my mom's/friend's house and have them ship it to me.

Once had a problem getting the ESS Crossbow glasses into Quebec, so I ordered it to my P.O. Box on the border and brought them across with groceries. Though I did get stopped... for bringing across blueberries

Hades: There is a righteously evil leukemia caused by exposure to radiation. My dad was exposed to radon in HK several years back and was recently diagnosed with acute milogean leukemia and given three months to live. There is NO cure. I have an uncle that worked in a uranium mine years ago and presently has a different form of leukemia with a slightly better prognosis. If you're not BSing my prayers go out to you for your future. Maybe early detection will hold you in better shape for treatment. Get checked!

I'm well aware of the dangers of radon. I have several radon detectors in my basement and always made sure to wear a mask when handling any radioactive stuff to avoid inhaling the dust particles. I'm all good, get regular check ups every year and so far nothing. Probably increased my risk of cancer later on in life by a percent or two but I was never exposed to any seriously dangerous amounts of radiation. Sorry to hear about your family members though.

I grew up in Eliott Lake during the late 60's during the peak of Uranium production. The refining plant where my dad was an engineer was about 2 miles outside town and there were square miles of open air tailings that contained among other things thorium dioxide, Radium and other nasties.

Makes me wonder sometimes.

Actually, most things are explained by the fact that i was bitten by a radioactive stoat when I was eight years old. Growing up in Eliott lake is coincidental.

No, I have amazing stoat-like powers! These include the ability to mesmerize rabbits with a dance. I am also known to be among the top 100 world's worst alien invasive species.
