Propane refill adapters are ILLEGAL

Just found this on Ebay, lets you refill your 1lb tanks with a big tank. Havnt seen this before figured id share up, sure could save some people some money. I know ill be picking one up to give it a shot.

i think these things arent technically legal up here, but ive been using one for years without blowing up the block so I guess maybe its a silly law, not like we'd have any silly laws in Canada...

for reference its not exactly just screw em together and go, youll get a bit of propane but not a tank, you have to heat the 20lb tank (i just sit it over a furnace vent) and freeze your 1lb bottle, hook them together, flip the tank upside down, THEN open the valves

works out to about $1 per lb of propane rather than $5, and as an added benefit you can add oils or whatever to the adapter and itll flow in to the bottle with the propane

yeah thats what the video said as well. seems cool, this one has a shut off so you can't blow up the tank from what they have said. haha

DO NOT DO THIS!! There was a thread on this very topic a few years ago which caused a bit of a shit storm. This is really quite dangerous and illegal.

1lbs tank are meant to be used once, has nothing to do with that 80% limit

And it stays illegal regardless

If you're willing to save a few bucks in gas that badly maybe you should stick to AEGs?
