Deep Fire New PTW Style Hop-up for AEG

Well I bought one. Time for some ramblings for curious tuners interested in possibly purchasing one. Initial impressions are mediocre. The fit of the hop-up and inner barrel to outer barrel is great. The fit of the hop-up components together is loose. The barrel key falls out on its own...
It came assembled, correctly I might add.
Installation sucked. It was too long for the VFC body I'm putting it in, so I did a bunch of filing and got it to "fit". Still have to hammer the front pin though.
The chamber packing is extremely tight. The nozzle can't push the BBs past it. Needs breaking in, wearing down, or something. For a while it couldn't even get rounds out of the barrel, but now they go about 10 feet. The tappet plate spring still can't push them past, but the air blast is getting them down the barrel.

I plan to wash the packing with soap and water in case its swollen from excessive oil or something. I also plan on making the tappet plate spring stronger. Either by cutting off a few rings or replacing it entirely.

Will report back.
Also, if you have experience with these parts please post up!

Well since your tappet plate was fine before the deepfire chamber, I would say don't touch what aint broken!
Find out where everything is catching, use layout fluid or sharpie to check for abrasion lines
And is it possible to use the same method you test the Rhop patch to test the chamber packing?
I'll take a crack at it myself if you get stuck!

Same here. And same here - except I'm using a King Arms M4A1 (Colt receiver as with Cybergun licensing).

I haven't finished fitting mine yet - I'd say that a BB is going to have a pretty tough time getting through the chamber packing on mine too. I might switch to a longer M4 air nozzle (for 2 piece hop up chambers), rather than the shorter M4 nozzle for 1 piece hop up, keeping what you've said in mind.

3 in a week lol
K, so if the BB can't push past the chamber seal, just roll up a bit of 600 or 400 grit sandpaper and bore it out a bit.
But DO NOT have the barrel in place when you do, sandpaper grain and rubber dust is really bad for your barrel

Update: on a whim I tried to install it into a G&G metal upper and hey guess what, it fit. Works pretty good too, shoots really straight and consistent but underhops anything over .25s. If I care enough to, I might do the hop mod to get a bit more out of it.
