Battery charge question

Ok I've got a 7.2v 2000mAH NiCD battery and one of those crappy wall chargers that come stock with most of these batteries. Now Ive never used one of the crappy chargers before so, how long should I have the thing plugged in for?

Look at the charger, and see what the MaH output is, the divide 2000MaH by the MaH output and thats how many hours you charge it for.

1. Throw the crappy charger out
2. Buy a good smart charger
3. Charge the battery without damaging it

I have a crappy charger too without an indicator light. I typically charge my NiCD battery (I think it's 1400maH) for 2.5 hours and my LiPoly for about 3.

I'm probably wrong though. :P

I've already ordered a new smart/fast charger and the battery is just a piece of junk that came with. I've ordered a brand new 4800mAH NiMH battery from Hong Kong for $20. Charger arrives in a week and the new battery arrives in about 3.
