Motorola radio pin setting issue.

Hey guys,
Not sure if anyone here could answer this but I'm having an issue with my throat mic and the radio input.
I recently switched back from using a Linton radio to Motorola for the ease of use with my teammates. I have a devgru throat mic, so it's not a cheap eBay one, with multiple connectors. So after buying the new radios, for some strange reason the radio goes into vox mode and I can't make any transmissions or hear anything. But when I switch to an older model radio, it works fine.
So my question is, does anyone know if Motorola has changed their pin settings from a few years ago?

You radio gurus need to help this guy so he will
a) Stop asking me about it
b) be able to hear me chew food loudly and tell me to stop doing it

1) is it a GP68?
2) If it's a GP68, the radio's probably fucked

I've had a lot of radio killing problems with my throat mic and GP68's, their boards are surprisingly easy to fry. Before I burned out the headset port completely, it would do exactly what you're describing. Plug in throat mic, radio just constantly 'transmits', but nothing is received by other radios

My first GP68 was a tank, I think motorola just cheaped out on their production parts, or the chinese clones have become REALLY accurate on the outside. But the last 2 GP68s I bought were just crap.

No just a cheap talkabout. I was one of two guys that ran a higher end radio so I switched back. Plus programming the damn thing was just stupid.
