TM 1911 Co2 Magazines NOT compatible with KJW KP-07

So I have a KJW 1911, and followed the general internet advise to purchase 3 TM 1911 co2 magazines because they were supposedly interchangeable. I was disappointed to find that they are not compatible.

Specifically, the TM magazines would not lock into the magwell of the pistol. I tried this many times, and with several magazines. I bought 3 TM magazines, and I have 1 KJW (Stock) co2 magazine, as well as 2 Green Gas kjw magazines. All of the KJW mags fit flawless and lock into place when inserted into the mag-well. The TM magazines, however, fit but do not lock in and eventually slide out of the gun.

After closer inspection I realized that the co2 cartridges did not fit in place as closely as the KJW ones because the gas valve on the inside of the co2 insert was not as deep. I originally thought that I didn't buy the proper co2 cartridges, or did not insert them properly. But this was not the case. The magazines still did not lock into the mag-well without cartridges inside as well.

I purchased these magazines from ebairsoft. If anyone knows of a quick fix, please help. If not, I'm afraid I'll have to return these.

In both images the TM magazines on the left, and the original KJW magazine is on the right.

I don't know your gun so I can't give you advice on what to do but wanted to correct you on something. TM doesn't make anything that's CO2 compatible so you did not buy TM CO2 mags.

If the mags you purchases were advertised as TM, the store was wrong and I'd ask for a refund.

What he said.

TM does NOT make CO2 mags for any pistol.
It's against Japan laws to have an airsoft shoot over 1J/300fps.
CO2 in a stock TM pistol would bust that limit instantly.

Another vote for "those aren't TM CO2 mags, TM doesn't make any".

It might be because of the bumpers at the bottom interfering with getting the magazines far enough up into the magwell.

I think it's time for a link to where the purchase was made.

He said ebairsoft so I'm thinking it's these:

Yep that's the culprit. Says "for marui style 1911 GBB".

In addition to my post about the bumpers, can you remove them or file them down at the top?
What kind of KJW 1911 do you have, just the standard 1911A1 WW2 style?

The KJW CO2 mags worked fine for me when I used them. My friend just bought the KJW CO2 mags for the 1911A1 model and he has my Second KJW 1911 MEU pistol and they seem to be working ok from what he has told me and what I have seen.

Yeah. KJW mags should work with a KJW. The problem is these aren't by KJW. I thought they were TM, but apparently not.

Yes it's the KP-07 like stated above. I could file down the feeding lips (if that's what you mean) but after inspecting them... I don't think that would solve the problem. The original and these are the same aside from the valve size.

No I didn't mention the feed lips, I said the bumpers. Perhaps it's preventing you from completely inserting the mag.
And the answer to my first question would be no, you don't have a 1911A1 WW2 style, you have an MEU style.

Remove the lead weights inside the grip and try the mags again.

There are 2 generations of KJW 1911 CO2 magazines, the old ones with the big bumper and new ones with a slim base. These V2 come with newer KP07s or are sold separatedly. KJW changed a bit the angle of the CO2 capsule, so they modified the lead weights inside the grip to fit it.

This copy of the V1 magazine may be made to fit the newer KP07.
