5.11 ATACS. Most comfortable boots I've owned. Wear them every day, all day long. Some days I put on 15-20k walking. I'm going on my third pair.

You get what you pay for. Spend $150 more and get one of the most trusted boots ever - The Rocky SV2.

for boots that has good insoles, i have to suggest Altama and Belleville hot weather boots, it has silicone insoles for load bearing missions but the down side, it is pretty much has almost zero ankle support, apart from the Belleville 300 ST, these boots has leather panels, which has better support, unlike the the Altama, which is just cordura canvas instead. my current boots that i am rocking are the Belleville 300 ST, CF MK5 and the newest pair i need to test New Balance/OTB Bushmaster, which seems to have good support

check ebay, since your budget is under 100 or go surplus and find a pair of CF MK5, however what style you like, i found a pair of MK5 for 50 dollars and with a good amount of vibram traction still on it, or even check lapolice gear for clearance deals

Salomon Quest 4D's... Infact, anything Salomon, Merrell, Lowa, Asolo, and Scarpa.

But stay away from Dakota. Avoid that crap like the plague.

I've been wearing my Under Armour boots for a while now and they're pretty fantastic. Light, water-proof, and cushiony as fk. I also got them in the states at the outlet for $54.99.

I've seen guys ruin them easily.
Not sure of the ops thoughts on the side zippers but on magnums they're just awful.

Personally, I've bee impressed with my SWAT boots. I've had them for 5 years and between work and Airsoft they've done great for me.
I think I paid $120 for them, I'm looking at replacing them in the next month so this thread interests me.

I have been rocking Original SWAT WinX2 Boots for the past 2 years, haven't failed me yet.

I got my boots from LA Police Gear, they have a large inventory of "tactical" brand name boots, but keep in mind they are located in the States so shipping might be a little costly. It is a good starting point to get more info/read reviews/starting prices on various boots though.

I also know a couple of other players that run their issued CF boots which they love. I'm not sure how easy or hard they are to obtain but there is a couple options for ya at least.

Also FYI if you end up getting a pair of boots that aren't waterproof, a good alternative is GORTEX Socks. There was a recent thread [here] listing a bunch of quality socks.

Are your feet wide or narrow?
Do you have a High arch or are you flat footed?
Do you over pronate?

Boots are the MOST personal effect that you will wear. They take time to break in and become comfortable.

Go to a reputable store and have your feet properly measured. This will tell you many things as to the above.

You can then look at brands which have a slightly larger tow box or offer more ankle support etc etc.

I can tell you Lowas are the shit but I prefer Meindles.

Get your feet properly measured and then go to running room for a diagnostic on your gait. All of this will help you select the boots that can work for you in the best way in the shortest period of time.

Bates, Oakley, Under Armor, etc. $100 - $200 is realistic.

Have worn many different boots for both hiking, hunting and everyday use.

The underarmour speed freaks are the most comfortable I've had. Fit great out of the box, light weight, feels like a running shoe. Good ankle support and they are waterproof (gortex).

I got them on amazon for $130. They even come in multicam

At $150ish you'll get a good selection of boots that you'd be happy with.

Lots of different opinions on boots so it's always best to try them on. What some guys suggest don't always work for some one else.

For example, guys that like Magnums hate SWAT and vice versa mainly due to fit.

We had guys who had their eye on one boot but changed their mind after trying it on and went with another they didn't expect.

Also don't rule out shorter cut hikers.

Being in TO you should be able to get into a few different stores to try some options on.
