Most should fit. I'd suggest Shooters Design or even Nine Ball.

kinda bringing this thread back from the dead, but i am trying this and it is almost working. i was wondering of i could get some help.
ok i did this because i had a WE hi-capa lying around and figured it could be modded with out having to risk a more expensive gun. i did the mods to the part in the slide (sorry i dont know the names of the parts) and added a tube around the recoil spring rod to short stroke it. i put it back together and it will fire full auto about 1/4 of the time other wise its semi. and it always ends with the hammer jammed in the slide. i did notice now that the little bar that looks like it disconnects the pin thing that hits the gas flow valve is broken so it doesn't effect it all all would be causing the problem or is it something else? i can supply pics if you ask.

Ideally, the sear disconnect lever must be modified so that it holds the hammer back until the slide slams forward again.
Otherwise, a brute force method must be applied, by filing a ramp in to the bottom of the blowback unit to let it ride over the hammer. This will result in less than complete shots, as the hammer is essentially riding the slide back to battery, rather than waiting for the slide to return before striking the pin. What you're describing with the broken part could explain some of the issues you're having. |

sorry for bumping an old thread but need a little help i guess. why is it that when i install the bbu that i modded i just have standard semi?
does it need more material added? (this is hammer down, bbu up against hammer |

The section that makes it auto is the other side, where you removed the whole side. The disconnector must catch somewhere and disconnect the strike pin as usual. Check there.

ok im still confused, are you stating that i need to check the side i removed material from the bbu and make sure noting is catching as it slides past? i was pretty sure i got it all...
but i will double check. so, then i still am confused how this works, becasue it would seem that i havent done anything to the sear system to allow it to drop the hammer with out letting off the trigger to reset it? thank you for your help i am very greatful and hope that i can get this to work. PS i have only modded the bbu, just making sure i dont need to do anything to the slide or the sear assembly? |

I've chatted with Illusion on this subject a few times, after which i've relegated to not using this method. He describes what's happening between the mod and the actual Xtreme just a few posts up.
that being said, no modification is required for the slide or sear assembly, I just suggest using some buffers on the recoil rod. From your picture, I can only assume that the groove you filled on the right, doesn't extend down far enough, you might need to add a bit more material to it. |
