Where do they hire 14 years old? And to save up $3k for airsoft, that must be one very nice paying part-time job.

I wish I found these kinda jobs when I was 14......

If a guy shows lots of maturity , he should be allowed to play.

He's too young according to the law, and he's too young according to field rules.

We don't make the law on who's an adult and who's not, we certainly don't make the law who can own airsoft and who can't, and we don't make the details on the insurance policy at a field that requires players to be 18 years old or with parent present.

From your analogy, if a minor is mature enough, we should be buying them booze, cigarettes and let them drive our cars. (Don't argue this back, it's one of those classic non-ending argument that leads to nowhere but politics)

well , the fact is that I agree with you on that point. Laws are there for a reason and it has to be respected. At least 16 is a good rule. Final Answer

Here's a question for you.
Why can I (a minor) walk into the local sporting goods store and buy live ammunition (ex/ 12 guage, 9mm, .45 ACP etc), but I can't buy 6mm BB's.

Something doesn't make sence there.

LEGALY you shouldn't be able to (unless under certain circumstances) and how many times must it be said that the members here do NOT make the laws or feild rules ?

So as a minor, buying airsoft guns would result in the parent(s) actually owning the gun until the minor has reached the age of 18?
Therefore fields would allow a minor to operate an airsoft gun (I know this depends on the field owner and the organizers), with the actual owner (parent) present? Does this mean at the game or playing in the game?

Hmm...only 1 year, 4 months to go :P

Let's try to be clear again;

If a Minor gets their parents involved. If the parents buy and own the gun. If the parents let the minor (usually 16+) go to games and play with full consent of field owners and legal proof. If one of the parents is present on site. There is NO problem.

Some sites only request that the parents show up once with ID. Is that so hard?

The problem is that it appears that all of this is too hard to do. What I guess is that many here are trying to lie to their parents to get into airsoft anyway.

If you're not mature enough to talk to your parents, you're not mature enough for a game with Replicas.

And no, guys, real gun laws and pellet gun laws are NOT THE SAME as for airsoft. The sooner you grab that clue, the better.

Okay? So yet again all you minors have a way to play IF you are mature enough to follow a few rules. If not, too bloody bad. Bitching wont help.

If you truly want to bitch, there IS a way to change those laws; it's called VOTING. But guess what? You must be 18 for that too.

If you can walk into a store and buy ammunition, someone is doing something extremely illegal. Very few minors have the right permits to do that. Do you?
And firearms laws DONT APPLY to airsoft. Different animal.

Actually, there is a license (which I have) that allows minors to do so. The CFC site states that there are around 7500 of these in Canada.

Who's restricting you from buying 6mm BBs? There's no law, rules or regulation of any sort restricting the purchase of BBs by a minor. :smack:

Ok, I'm a minor for still for 7 months, I have played in a pistol game one year ago(maybe less, not sure), I rent a pistol and I played, everybody who were there found me correct, my parents where there, if I buy a gun now with my parents, before the 7 remaining mounths are over, do you think it will be ok? because nobody never said I was irresponsible, I have played a lot of paintball games before and I know how important is safety with guns, my sergeants were clear enough on that point in the army...

just to kbe really sure if I will be ok to have one...
