hey, here's an idea; how about reading through the whole thread and finding out that this is not the issue we are talking about

what everyone is talking about is the new accessibility of g & g guns to minors via cabela's not people wanting to play with people using clear guns

Ya no kidding and that's why I light hardily tried to give you hope that maybe it won't turn out as bad as you think. That was a very minor part of any of my posts.You need to relax a bit.

hi i posted on the g&g two weeks ago here is the basic "hey a little note was at cablea's here in winnipeg and was talking to jay he is hoping to have g&g airsoft in starting in march !!!! sweet i know it is still clear top but thats still great news for people just talked to the age verifer here glen on friday so should be all done up and on my way to the classified in a few days .. sweet classified goodness lol well so i here grin ..

If airsoft had a position that weak in Canada, it'd be over by now. Stop being so deterministic.

Youths have had access to realistic looking pellet guns for years, and they're far more dangerous than any airsoft guns. By your logic, kids should've done enough damage to each other to ban pellet guns several times over. That is obviously not the case. If the government banned everything kids could do stupid things with, the legal driving age would be somewhere in the mid 20s.

The only useful insight from this thread is that knee-jerking fear-mongering isn't limited to any specific political alignment.

I just wanted to drop a line on a previously closed forum regarding Cabela’s and the mention that we sell airsoft to minors. I want to clarify that in Canada, Cabela’s (and SIR previously) has always had a store policy not to sell airsoft to minors (much like our policy is not to sell knives to minors as well). There is no law in place that we are abiding by. We do this because we want to be a responsible retailer. I’m sure there will be a few people saying, “Well, when I was there, you did!” and I can only tell you that I cannot speak to those occasions. I can tell you that our staff is trained on these and many other matters regarding items that could be considered dangerous. I myself have never seen a minor purchase an airsoft gun. Yes, it is true, there are purchases made by parents for their children but our responsibility ends when the adult hands over the airsoft gun to their child. The adult is now responsible for how that gun is used and not us. As for if we are going to be receiving G&G equipment in the near future; all I can say to that is, “No comment”.
