And an education in how to respect orders and a chain of command. I wish...

The BEST people I've ever worked with are military or retired military; no bullshit.

It's not illegal for a minor to own an airsoft gun. The only such law exists in Ontario against the purchase of airguns.

Just because Canada Customs has deemed airsoft guns to be prohibited FOR IMPORTATION, it does not mean it is illegal to possess. Just because Canada Customs considers airsoft guns to be replicas, it does not mean the guns are treated as replica firearms by the CCC. Customs list of prohibited goods has nothing to do with the CCC.

Again, a minor owning an airsoft gun is not illegal. No law has been broken.

Check the court ruling made in Ontario, which was posted on this site, about a certain fiasco in Markham.

According to a Court, airsoft = replica. So the replica laws apply until the precedent created by that ruling is changed or overturned. The replica laws are very clear as to who can buy and own them.

not to offend, but I think he said "thanks for all the help" in the first page of the thread, and left. Hence, no need to continue?

i agree
like if youre just trying to get into it quickly and cheaply in your own field or woods there shouldnt be anything wrong with picking up some cheap yet better quality springers like tsd, cyma, and double eagle. mine certainly arent breaking. good springers are what i would reccomend for a cheap low end backyard starter due to the fact that they are going to far outlive a low end aeg with a plastic gearbox plus theyre cheaper still
then after you decide if its something you wanna stay into then yea start saving money for a good aeg

+1 for most of what was said.

For me I started with a LOW cash situation so I was using a cheap springer pistol. I got sveral kills but you had to work for em and it was always CQB as at range you get pwned. Then I bumped up to co2 pistols which are very decent (around $100, 300 fps, $1 or less for each 250 shots on a 12g co2).

For AEGs I got a cheapo Pulse R72 (G3 clone) to at least have something to use. Its pretty 'meh' at 275 fps and I already had to fix a faulty selector switch. It can be upgraded with a type 2 metal gearbox, new motor, new spring and new battery but in the end you might as well have got a decent AEG rather than shell out $$$ for upogrades. I got it cause I wanted something cheap to learn how to fix rather than wreck a pro gun with my tinkering lol. But at $145 CAD direct to my door its ok. Was hoping to make a Kraken my tinkering gun but the local stores order nevr came in so the Pulse was my next cheap choice.

For my good gun I got a decent used JG M4- and it is miles ahead of the Crosman for all the expected reasons.

Personally if you HAVE to go cheap to start the co2 pistols are the best bang for your buck. I used two of them for a few scenarios and you can do fine. But as for cheap AEGs you will likely have to spend money upgrading them sooner than you'd like (save with the Krakens which are mostly good after shims and new batterys).

i just got my kraken. i gotta say its pretty freakin sweet right out of the package.
i found the range and power to be incredible even with the hop up all the way down

save a couple bucks, get one, youll be fine with it stock til you decide you wanna start upgrading it
seeing my kraken in hand i would now say for a cheap and quick starter either buy a kraken or a tsd shotgun

i have one of these and its an impressive little thing

By shells I assume you mean body, in which case yes.

I think he meant the shotgun shells, in other words cartridges.

yea. the shells/cartridges that come with the tsd shotgun are tm compatible.
sellers will usually say that the price of the gun with the shells/cartridges is cheaper than for a set of the shells/cartridges alone
i got my shotgun up there for like 20 bucks. so you be the judge. though ive since learned that you guys dont have the good springer brands up there and the best ones you can get are the cdn tire and walmart ones. too bad though

intereting considering he quoted "I just got my Kraken" and asked the shell question
